Light from Darkness — Lux e Tenebris
An invitation to keep questioning, keep learning and step towards greater understanding.
THE STORY YOU WEAR
Lux e Tenebris — “Light out of darkness” — is a motto associated with the Scottish Rite. Here, an open doorway gives that idea a human scale: the threshold between what is familiar and what remains to be understood.
The square and compasses connect the search for knowledge with the question of how we live. Learning carries responsibility, inviting us to examine our actions as well as our beliefs. For the curious, this design celebrates the willingness to take the next step.
